Welcome to the Brandywine Zoo!
The Brandywine Zoo is less than five acres and located in Wilmington, Delaware, along the Brandywine River in beautiful Brandywine Park. The Zoo is open 10am to 4pm (last admission at 3:30pm).
The Brandywine Zoo is managed by the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation with the support of the Delaware Zoological Society. The Brandywine Zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums and is one of over 240 accredited zoos and aquariums in North America, a distinction that marks its commitment to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for the visitor, and a better future for all living things.

BREW AT THE ZOO 21+ – SOLD OUT!
Visit the zoo after hours for this FUNdraiser event which includes a variety of beer, wine and spirit tastings from numerous vendors, light fare from local restaurants, and ice cream from Hy-Point. Plus live music by Green Eggs and Jam and animal encounters from Animal Behavior and Conservation Connections.

LITTLE NATURE EXPLORERS: SOUTH AMERICAN ANIMALS – SOLD OUT
Do you and your child love playing outdoors? This program allows children aged 2 to 5 and their guardians to make discoveries outdoors together. Each 45 minute class includes nature-based, child-directed activities, singing, and a storybook.

Join us Thursdays as we read and learn about animals. Each week will be a different book, so come back weekly to read them all! Storytime will take place outdoors in the Wildlife Amphitheater.

WORLD OCEAN’S DAY
Swim on over to the zoo for a celebration of our blue planet on World Ocean’s Day! This event aims to increase awareness of the pivotal role the ocean plays and encourages individuals to take action to protect it, beginning right in our local communities. Take part in ocean themed activities, a scavenger hunt, and don’t miss a very special performance by The Chesapeake Mermaid at 12:00pm!

FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT FOR ALL AGES!
Sip & Stroll through the zoo and enjoy a laid-back evening at our Thursday night happy hour series. Craft beer will be available from Bellefonte Brewing and Dogfish Head, in addition to wine, and hard cider/seltzer.
